I have no idea who the author is---I'm guessing he's a Brit---but the glory of the Kindle is that you run across surprises like this. These little poems are witty and even thought-provoking, taking a slightly askew, or sometimes a very literal, view of things. Kids like that, and I do, too.As the author of The World According to Perdita Whacknoodle: The Thanksgiving Pageant of Doom, I've been making a study of funny kids' books, and of creativity in general. I think the best children's books show a very high level of verbal wit, and this nice, easy book of witty poems fits right in.
(And, it doesn't matter a bit if you're not longer--technically--a kid. You might even like them more if you're an adult, and they'll do you more good, too. Why? Because they'll stretch the old imagination muscle, and that's always a good thing!
